Originating as Mount Washington Glass Works in 1836, the company merged with its neighbor to become the Pairpoint Manufacturing Company in 1894. Mount Washington Glass was widely known for producing the finest glass anywhere in the country. Boasting clientele in the highest echelons of American and European society, Pairpoint was known for quality and innovation. In 1950, they began making glass for Tiffany & Co. and Shreve, Crump and Low. In 2005, they were chosen to produce the Boston Marathon trophies.
